• Do you often eat snacks?

No. I only have snacks from time to time, maybe once or twice a week. Although they are appealing, I always try to control my comfort food cravings because I’m very conscious of my diet. Anyway, I can’t justify spending my hard-earned money on junk foods.

• When do you often have snacks?

I usually have snacks when I’m starving but unable to have a proper meal, which is very rare I’d say. I’ve never eaten snacks as comfort food because when I’m upset, eating processed food is the last thing I’d like to do.

• What kinds of snacks do you like?

I don’t have much of a sweet tooth so I prefer those that are sugar free and rich in fiber. I’m a huge fan of whole nuts and seeds like walnuts, chestnuts and macadamia.

• Did you eat a lot of snacks when you were a child?

No. When I was a kid, I used to wish to have enough pocket money for savoury chips or cookies. Anyways, my parents used to struggle to make ends meet back then so I couldn’t complain.

• Is it healthy to eat snacks?

Yes and no. I think it depends on what kinds of snacks and how much or how often they are eaten.
