Leaders and directors in an organization are normally older people. Some people think young people can make better leaders. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

It is true that top-ranking positions in companies and organizations are mostly people in their 40s or 50s. However, it is sometimes argued that younger people make better leaders. I disagree with this opinion because I believe both young and old people can become great leaders.
Admittedly, young people might outdo their older counterparts in certain domains. They are more adept at embracing new technologies and market trends. Therefore, companies or organizations led by younger people tend to be more innovative and competitive than those led by older leaders. Young leaders are also more willing to take risks and explore new opportunities, which explains why the founders of tech giants such as Facebook founded their companies at a very young age.
However, I believe older people also have definite advantages when it comes to leadership. Firstly, old people are often more experienced and knowledgeable than young people. As wisdom keepers, older leaders tend to be more skilled at understanding, choosing and motivating people. This is crucial because effective management constitutes a major component of great leadership. Additionally, older people tend to be more respectable than their younger counterparts. They have strived for many years to rise to the top of the career ladder and their abilities have been proved by their remarkable achievements. This can make it easier for them to lead by example and gain the trust of their subordinates.
