Well, it depends. Generally speaking, making decisions and taking full responsibility for them is a crucial skill children need to learn bit by bit. Babies or young kids can decide for themselves on trivial matters such as which outfit to wear. However, the majority of decisions concerning their future must be made by their guardians who are more knowledgeable about the world. As for older children, I believe, probably from 16 they are capable of making their own choices in not only day-to-day chores but also major issues such as study, career and relationships. Of course, parents still have a guiding role to play.
What kinds of decisions are difficult to make?
I’d say that the toughest decisions are those related to university or career choice. Such decisions are critical as they define people’s lives. Choosing a future pathway to take involves prediction and massive risks. On top of that, people have to make these crucial decisions when they are still very young. Due to a severe lack of information or unawareness of their own interests and talents, they might end up choosing the wrong path …)
What should people do when they have to make such decisions? (gợi ý idea: First, they might ask an expert or experienced people for advice… Additionally, they should try to obtain relevant information from trusted sources they can seek. Finally, it’s crucial for them to constantly broaden their horizon/ expand their perspective / earn as much practical experience as possible so that they could have a higher chance of making a fruitful decision.
