As for older children, I believe, probably from 16 they are capable of making their own choices in not only day-to-day chores but also major issues such as study, career and relationships. Of course, parents still have a guiding role to play.

I’d say that the toughest decisions are those related to university or career choice. Such decisions are critical as they define people’s lives. Choosing a future pathway to take involves prediction and massive risks. On top of that, people have to make these crucial decisions when they are still very young. Due to a severe lack of information or unawareness of their own interests and talents, they might end up choosing the wrong path …)
What should people do when they have to make such decisions?
