Well, this topic reminds me of how I eagerly waited for our family vacation last summer. Last year, I achieved excellent performance at school, so my parents promised that we would take a trip to Nha Trang as a reward for my exceptional effort.
The best part of the tour was that I would be able to dive into the ocean. You know, I’ve been a massive fan of marine life for many years. It must be fantastic to be able to swim leisurely among sea creatures and watch stunning coral reefs. I remember when I was a kid, I was obsessed with mermaid fairy tales and science-fiction movies about the ocean, especially an Australian TV series called “Ocean Girl“. I was so captivated by the series that I decided to add scuba diving to my bucket list. I had been asking my parents to take me on a holiday to a coastal city for ages.
That’s why I was really looking forward to the trip. I was counting the days until I could see coral reefs and colorful fishes swimming in real life. However, that day never came. Due to social distancing and lockdown policies for Covid prevention, we haven’t been able to enjoy the holiday. I’ve become tired of waiting and so have my parents. We’ve never mentioned any words about it for months but I still hope that next year I’ll be able to fulfil my lifetime dream.
