What kinds of people often become famous?
I’d say that those who are good-looking or incredibly talented are likely to become famous, even overnight. Many singers, actors and athletes have become a phenomenal success thanks to a single performance. Without a doubt, having a charming appearance and an outstanding ability can give people a definite advantage in life because humans naturally gravitate towards beauty and excellence. Additionally, those who are charismatic can also attract a huge crowd of fans and become popular influencers on social media even though they’re not talented singers or actors.
What are the advantages of being popular at school/ at work?
As for celebrities, fame can bring them endless opportunities to make a fortune and be entitled to red-carpet treatments wherever they go. As for normal people, being popular might also give them a lot of privilege. Since many people admire and honor them, they might stand a better chance of being selected for influential positions like a monitor at school or a leader in a company or organization.
What are the disadvantages of being famous?
Unquestionably, the price people have to pay for fame can be enormous. First, they have to sacrifice their privacy and even that of their family. They are followed by paparazzis everywhere and their private lives are constantly in the spotlight. As they are public figures, people tend to set high expectations of them. If they fail to meet any of these, it will be tough for them to maintain their image in the public eyes, and thus lose their admiration. As well as this, most celebrities have to live a life of intensity. With hectic schedules filled with event presence, costume fittings, travelling, fan meetings and so on, they barely have time for themselves. This exhausting lifestyle can take a toll on their mental health
