Ielts Speaking part 3 Health

Bài nói mẫu, câu trả lời mẫu Ielts Speaking part 3 topic HEALTH samples (band 8.0 – 9.0)

  • Do you think people follow up what they read about health?

Well, it depends on the source of the information, I mean, whether it’s reliable or not. Also, some people tend to be more health-conscious. Based on their common sense, they would take what they read into serious consideration and even do as suggested or recommended in the article. Others, however, are either too cynical or carefree. They would take it with a pinch of salt or just read it for fun and soon forget.

  • Do you think it’s easier to keep a healthy lifestyle now than in the past?

Definitely yes. It’s obvious that today, people enjoy much higher living conditions. With fast, free and easy access to scientific information as well as professional advice, they’re better-informed and thus know how to take care of themselves more effectively. Also, thanks to technology development, people now can enjoy the benefits of advanced healthcare facilities, which clearly didn’t exist several decades ago.

  • How do people improve their health in Vietnam?

I can say that in general, Vietnamese people are becoming increasingly conscious of their health. They try to work out consistently in order to keep fit. In Hanoi, for example, more and more young adults are seeking professional training at gyms while old people do exercise regularly in the parks. Regarding food, I believe people in Vietnam tend to eat more vegetables than their counterparts in some western countries. Maintaining a healthier diet is definitely a welcomed trend here.

  • Should health care service be free?

Ideally, there should be universal healthcare system in every country. I believe, everybody should get equal medical care to stay healthy and lead a fulfilling life. In practice, however, it seems challenging to achieve that goal due to a lack of financial resources.

  • Is employees’ health important to an employer?

Absolutely. If workers are healthy, their performance and productivity would be boosted significantly. Improved staffs’ well-being, both physically and mentally, may also lead to higher job satisfaction and lower staff turnover rate, as they are less likely to quit their jobs. All in all, taking care of employees’ wellness is highly beneficial to employers I believe.

  • What should employers do to improve employees’ health?

Well, first and foremost, it’s vital to build a healthy working environment. The office must be clean, well-ventilated and spacious enough for people to leave their desks from time to time and do a bit of exercising. Some reputed organizations such as Google and Facebook even build a separate, fully-equipped green space for their staffs’ recreation activities, which I find truly amazing. Apart from this, companies should allow people to take several days off work and break from it for a while and get recharged. This is essential for them to maintain a healthy work/life balance.

  • What can the government do to encourage healthy living?

Obviously, the government plays a crucial role in promoting a healthy lifestyle. By imposing higher taxes on junk food and drinks, they can encourage people eat healthier. Or they might run a campaign on mass media and social media to raise public awareness of the issue. Most importantly, it’s their responsibility to enforce the laws and create a safe and clean environment for all citizens.

  • Should children/students learn about health at school?

Absolutely, health education should be required to provide students with essential knowledge and skills to maintain their health, prevent disease and reduce risky behaviours. Effective curricula results in increasing awareness and positive changes in students’ attitudes towards alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs, physical activity, injury prevention and nutrition. Also, when students are in a good health, they tend to perform better at school and attend classes more regularly. Physical and mental fitness is vital for children to lead a fulfilling life I believe.
