What kinds of places are often crowded?
Well, downtown areas with a higher concentration of shops, office buildings and entertainment facilities seem the most crowded places on earth. Streets, shopping malls and amusement parks in metropolises are always packed with people. Some popular holiday destinations and attractions also get super crowded with an influx of tourists during peak seasons.
- Why do some people like/ dislike to go to crowded places?
Well the most obvious reason I think is the need for social life. Some people, especially of a social butterfly type, can’t stand being alone. They go to malls, bars, clubs, parties and live concerts where they can surround themselves with people. The more, the merrier. Others might not be a fan of the crowd and noise but have no choice. If they need to buy something or work there or if they love a destination so much, their fear of the crowd wouldn’t matter anymore.
- How can the problem of traffic congestion be solved?
That’s a tough question. I believe it can only be solved through collective effort of the government and individuals. Laws should be strictly enforced and campaigns should be run to raise public awareness on this issue. Also, it’s critical that individuals take initiatives to use public transport more or to cycle instead of driving. All in all, unless people are willing to give up the comfort of their private vehicles, it’s hard to tackle traffic jams (traffic congestion).
- Why do people still like to live in big cities even though there are severe traffic jams?
They have no choice really. Most people migrate to urban areas in search of job and a better life. I mean they have to earn a living to support themselves and their families. I believe they might get fed up with city hustle and bustle but there is nothing they could do about the situation. They just have to cope until they are in a better financial position.
