DETAILED ESSAY PLAN:
Advocates of the nature theory might claim that leadership is an innate ability.
Good leaders possess inborn qualities that cannot be nurtured such as decisiveness and a drive for success
It is almost impossible for individuals to train themselves to become more ambitious and decisive
Some people are genetically predisposed to be a leader and show exceptional leadership ability at an early age
Supporters of the nurture theory often argue that individuals can be trained to become leaders.
By acquiring relevant expertise and skills, people can achieve any goals and become anything regardless of their genetic traits
A large number of students graduating from prestigious universities such as Havard and Stanford have become influential CEOs in globally-renowned corporations
No one can become a leader without being respected and supported by others.
Excellent interpersonal skills which are critical to great leadership can only be mastered through years of continuous practice.
Top leaders often lead by example, which means that they consciously train and shape themselves as a role model for their subordinates.
In conclusion, while some people might display certain inherent traits of a leader, I strongly believe that leadership is both born and learned. It takes a great deal of time, effort and determination to become a great leader.
