Do you think you are a creative person? (câu hỏi phụ part 2)

I do have a flair for story writing and drawing but I’ve never seen myself as a particularly creative person. I’d rather say that I have an imaginative mind.

Do you think creativity is important?

Absolutely, it plays a crucial role in the development of human civilisations. Without dreams and creative thinking, all masterpieces like the Mona Lisa or Egyption pyramids, and even a vast number of technological breakthroughs would be non-existent. There is no doubt that all man-made products such as clothes, TVs, airplanes and the Internet have been created first as visualisations in an inventive mind. Creative ability is also a precious asset in the workplace. It enables people to generate novel ideas and approach complex tasks in unique, productive and exciting ways.

How can children develop their creative abilities?

Well, while some are born creative, I believe creativity can be learned and sharpened over time. This ability is closely linked to art so I suppose learning subjects like literature, painting, paper cutting or drama might do wonders for kids’ creative thinking development. Additionally, leisure activities help boost their mental health, which in turn can improve their innovative capability significantly. Spending time in nature, exploring the world and playing outdoors are among the most rewarding and spontaneous ways to foster kids’ creativity.

What kinds of jobs require creative skills?

I’d say that the most popular jobs for creative people are probably those directly related to art such as designer, artist, writer and actor. For example, in order to write an engrossing novel, the author must spend hours per day to vividly visualise in their mind how their story would develop. Another area that also requires a great deal of inventiveness is probably science. Although this field is primarily based on data and facts, creativity is needed for scientists to break from conventions, which could lay the foundation for innovations and new discoveries.
